I am so proud of my younger daughter for doing an investigation about shampoo. It's important to know what is in the shampoo we use and a Salon Store is the perfect place to do an investigation into what ingredients are listed on these various products. Kelley feels very confident that Monat Global offers the best shampoo hair care products on the market.
Here's the link to her first investigation:
I've decided to update my store on TeachersPayTeachers
by offering detailed guided reading lessons and phonics gameboards with playing cards. Both of these items help me to succeed as a literacy specialist and as a classroom teacher. I've offered a few items for FREE, but I don't feel that I should offer everything for FREE. It took a lot of my weekend time creating these detailed lesson plans and as for the game boards, they are great as center work for children.
Well, only time will tell if these items have made a success on TPT.
A goal for me this year is to get my brother's work into the main stream. I know one way of doing that is to submit it to the public library, self-e system. I'm fortunate that the Norfolk Public Library offers this opportunity. Warren's first book in the Back Porch Kid Series is The Blue Elephant. Well, this short read has been accepted into the library system for children and adults to read. Yeah! Well, that's one down and seven more to go....Love you, Lit' Bro!
I'm proud of my daughter for promoting a product she believes in....in today's world good morals still matter...Her latest video is about what is good and bad for your hair...She filmed in outside, since the weather was great...
From reading the book, "Dear Lucky Letters to Our Cat," I realized just how important to capture the memory of a loved one and not just in our hearts. Loved ones, including pets, bring such joy in our lives and it's important to allow their memory to live on and one way is through art. As a Vida designer, I can do that for myself and for others, too.
And may peace be with us always....
Well, I received a text message from Kelley about pushing back my flex ship date, since I haven't finished the tube of Black Shampoo. However, I don't think it's the perfect fit for me, because of my age and hair type. So, I went online to see if I could change the product(s) being shipped; instead of changing the date for the shipment.
MONAT has so many hair care products. Well, I did find a shampoo from MONAT that's more for me. I read a number of reviews from older women and they are using a different shampoo along with taking the S3 vitamin supplements. So, I'm ordering this intensive treatment shampoo along with the vitamins.
I'll continue to use the Black Shampoo. After all, I know that no matter what I use or consume, it will take time to see results.
When it comes to promoting creativity and imagination, kudos goes to the staff at the Willoughby Early Childhood Center in Norfolk, Virginia. One exciting way these young children have been able to foster their inventiveness and resourcefulness is by the school having an Imagination Playground in their gym. This amazing playground is composed of different size blocks for building a playhouse, castle, boat, or anything that children can pretend to build. At first, children build their own structures and then over time (with encouragement) they begin to work together.
Now, one must give kudos to Tyra Wooley. She was the recipient of receiving an Imagination Playground from writing a grant. Tyra had researched about the use of these blocks in helping children with physical and emotional development before submitting the grant.
Tops, Granny Krafter, and I were simply captivated when observing Tyra’s students. Their ability in working together to solve mathematical-related problems through kinesthetic techniques was truly amazing!
It was obvious they had learned the importance of working together; after all, more can be accomplished when working as a team, than when working alone.
Since the Imagination Playground is stored in the gym, all students have the opportunity in using it; especially during inclement weather when students are not able to venture outside for recess. What a wonderful alternative to outside play! All Pre-K Centers should have one!
On Friday, March 1st, I felt a thickness around my scalp, the top of my head, as well as the back of my head. But, as I pulled my hair back into a pony tail at the nape of my neck, it didn't feel any thicker. Of course, in those areas I just mentioned, it would be difficult to see any new hair growth and new hair growth didn't add more hair to pull back into a ponytail (at this time).
So, it still doesn't really prove anything! It could just be my imagination! Yet, on Sunday, March 3rd, was when I really noticed a change! Around both sides of my face, above my ears, I noticed more hair growth. It was too obvious not to be seen, especially the hair on the right side along the hair line. I've not had any hair growing their, since I had a tumor removed near that side.
The doctor had to take some skin from my neck to patch up the hole. Later on, I noticed that the hair that grew along the right-side hairline had fallen out. I always believed the hair would grow back, but I was wrong, until now. The most amazing thing is that the tumor had been removed more than twenty years ago along with losing some of my hair on that side of my face. Now, the hair has come back!
I plan to make another video about this update soon...
